The hit film Local Hero comes to The Old Vic stage in 2020 with John Crowley directing this musical adaptation by the original screenwriter/director Bill Forsyth and David Greig with original music by Mark Knopfler.

Forysth’s film came out in 1983 and formed the filling to his sandwich with ‘Gregory’s Girl’ in 1980 and ‘Comfort and Joy’ in 1984.

The story revolves around an ambitious Texan oil executive, Mac MacIntyre, who arrives in Scotland on a mission to buy a small seaside village and replace it with a refinery. It’s the deal of a lifetime, but Mac soon finds that putting a price on this beautiful spot is more complicated than he bargained for. Before the locals get rich, they must decide what their home is worth.

Irving Berlin’s celebrated musical White Christmas comes to the London stage with a limited season at the Dominion Theatre from November 2019 until 4th January 2020.

White Christmas stars Danny Mac (Sunset BoulevardStrictly Come Dancing Finalist) and Olivier-nominated Dan Burton (GypsySingin’ in the Rain) alongside Danielle Hope (BBC’s Over The Rainbow Winner), Clare Halse (Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street), Brenda Edwards (We Will Rock YouChicago, ITV’s Loose Women) and Olivier Award-nominated Michael Brandon (Dempsey and MakepeaceJerry Springer: The Opera).
